This website is the home to the Quantitative Methods Research Group, and to the Geographical Information Science Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute for British Geographers) (RGS-IBG).
Although they are two separate research groups, both have a shared interest in the use of geographical data and geographical methods of analysis for research and teaching. Many of their members choose to join both groups as Fellows of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). You can become a member by yourself here.
This website also hosts teaching and learning resources that were developed from the QuanTile project. QuanTile was Jointly funded by the ESRC, HEFCE and the British Academy (BA), and involved a team from the RGS-IBG working with members of both the GIScRG and QMRG to support and gain a better understanding of the state of quantitative methods teaching in UK schools and Universities. Reports from the project can be found here.
