Bursaries

The Quantitative Methods Research Group and the GIScience Research Group at the Royal Geographical Society with the IBG are offering  two bursaries  to cover registration fees at the GISRUK 2016 conference.

To be eligible for a bursary you will need to be registered for a PhD or Masters degree and have a full paper or poster accepted in the main programme as the lead author. More applications than bursaries are typically received, so they will be assigned on a competitive basis with later stage PhD students being giving priority.

Each bursary is worth up to £200 and can be used to cover fees. It requires that you attend the Early-career Researchers forum and the main conference and be a Postgraduate Fellow of the RGS (with IBG) (or prepared to join RGS-IBG if awarded a bursary). To apply for a bursary, please contact s.alvanides@northumbria.ac.uk.
