About the QuanTile Project

The QuanTile Project was funded by the British Academy and the Economic and Social Research Council with the aim of supporting the teaching and learning of quantitative methods in order that students develop their quantitative skills, confidence in these skills, and therefore gain vital transferable knowledge that will assist them in the workplace, in research and as citizens in social debate.  Although funding for this project has now ended, the content generated by this work is integrated here with the research group pages of the Quantiative Methods Research Group, and the GIScience Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG).

  • Support the teachers of quantitative methods through better understanding of their needs and expectations;
  • Facilitating peer support and coaching;
  • Developing case studies that demonstrate the importance of quantitative methods and how they are applied in the workplace, in research and in social debate.

The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) is the learned society for geography. We support teaching and learning in higher education and research and the research community.
